Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains the limited browser and network data involved when you use Cities of Europe, including its Share, Cite, and Google Preferred Sources controls.

Share and Cite

The Share and Cite tools run in your browser. Citation formats are generated on your device from the page title, canonical URL, and access date. Copying uses the browser clipboard when available.

If you choose a social sharing destination, your browser opens that service with the page title and URL. That service then handles the request under its own privacy policy.

Google Preferred Sources

Canonical public pages load Google's Preferred Sources control from news.google.com. Google receives the current page URL and ordinary request data such as your IP address and browser headers. Selecting "Prefer on Google" opens Google's source-selection flow for www.citiesofeurope.com.

If Google's interactive control does not load, the button remains a direct link to Google's source preferences page. Google controls sign-in, cookies, eligibility, and the final preference setting.

Site hosting

Cloudflare hosts the site and may process request metadata needed to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and operate the network. Cities of Europe does not require an account and does not run advertising cookies.
